Year 6 SpeedWatch

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

This past week has seen our two Year 6 classes taking part in our yearly Speedwatch Workshop.

 

During the workshop children take part in a number of activties which teach the children:

 

The stopping distance of cars travelling at different speeds;

 

The average speed of vehicles on our local main road;

 

How distractions can effect a drivers skills and stopping speeds/distances;

 

How alcohol affects a drivers ability to be safe on the roads.

 

Thank you very much to Stockport Council for coming in an delivering this super important workshop to keep our children safe.
