In September 2021, we introduced our unique  'Life Skills' curriculum -The  'Enjoy Believe Achieve (EBA) Awards' for all children from EYFS through to Year 6. It is an inclusive awards programme that every child in our school community has the opportunity to access and achieve.

These awards have been carefully and thoughtfully designed by our own staff here at Adswood Primary School.

The aim of these awards, is to embed the school's vision and values through providing opportunites beyond the classroom.

These age-appropriate awards,  will develop and embed skills which will lead to independent, life-long learners.

Each child is given an EBA booklet on arrival in school.

Each award is broken down into 3 challenges. When a child has achieved each challenge, they will receive their EBA award from the Headteacher.

Children in EYFS will be given the opportunities through play, exploration and guidance to accomplish the following awards:

Be independent

Be a performer

Be an adventurer

Be healthy

Be safe

In Key Stage 1, these fundamental ife skills will develop and progress. By the end of Year 2, children will aim to complete the following awards:

Be a Community Champion

Be a great grower

Be a mindful master

As children progress into Key Stage 2, the focus of the EBA awards evolves to provide opportunities for a smooth transition to their next phase of life and their future endeavours.
